Recommended Use:

EVENup ® is an orthotic shoe lift that is used for compensating temporary leg length discrepancy. EVENup ® was developed by two Podiatrists in Ft Myers, Florida, after hearing complaints from patients wearing a fracture boot. The patients were experiencing pain in the back, hip and/or knee due to uneven gait when walking with an orthotic walking boot or wound care shoe.

In 2007, a patent for EVENup ® was obtained and in July of that same year, the EVENup ® shoe lift was introduced to the market. In 2011, the operation was moved from Ft Myers FL to the Atlanta area of Georgia. Meanwhile EVENup ® is available in many countries around the world.

In September 2016, the company was taken over by OPED GmbH. OPED GmbH is a German Medtech company, represented internationally with 4 subsidiaries and a global sales network. OPED GmbH develops, manufactures and distributes orthotic and rehabilitation products.

We have done work on all kinds of shoes. Typically, shoes that have a sturdy sole and secure the foot make the best candidates for shoe lifts.

We use a material called foam crepe, which is similar to the foam portion of most athletic shoes. Our shoe lifts are inserted between the outsole and the midsole. We have seven different colors of crepe, and we often dye the lift to more closely match the appearance of the shoe.

Yes, we can remove a lift. We can also change a current shoe lift to a different increment if needed.

The shoe may feel slightly more stiff and heavier. However, during our process, we do everything we can to make the shoe is as lightweight and flexible as possible at no extra charge to our customer. Also, as the shoe with a lift is worn, it will continue to feel more flexible.

Yes, we can. Typically sandals with at least two straps work best, such as a Birkenstock sandal. Also, sport sandals such as Keen and Ecco sandals are excellent candidates for shoe lifts.

Additional accessories are available (see below). If you have a very large calf you may require additional accessories to accommodate (Liner Extension and Extra Long Strap).

If you are in between sizes we generally recommend that you choose the smaller size, however, this varies by patient.
